This audiobook is delivered as an M4B audiobook file

M4B is a standard audiobook format that allows you to pick up where you left off, supports chapter markers and bookmarking in compatible apps.

After purchase, download the .m4b file to your device, then open or import it into your preferred audiobook player. Recommended apps include:

iPhone / iPad

Apple Books
Open the downloaded .m4b file from the Files app, then choose Share > Books.

BookPlayer
Open BookPlayer, tap Add / Import Files, then select the downloaded .m4b file from the Files app. BookPlayer supports M4B files, chapter navigation, and importing from Files, AirDrop, and other apps.

Bound
Open Bound, tap Add Audiobook, then import the file from Apple Files, Dropbox, OneDrive, or another supported location. Bound supports DRM-free .m4b files and saves your listening position.

Mac

Apple Books
Double-click the .m4b file or open it with Books, then add it to your audiobook library. This should be built into your OS and found in your Applications folder.

QuickTime Player
Double-click the file to play it directly. This is useful for a quick listen, though it may feel more like a media player than a full audiobook library. This should be built into your OS and found in your Applications folder.

Windows 10 / 11

Audibly — Audiobook Player
Install Audibly from the Microsoft Store, then import or open the downloaded .m4b file. Audibly is a desktop audiobook player for Windows 10/11 and supports .m4b and .mp3 audiobook files.

VLC Media Player
Install VLC, then choose Media > Open File and select the audiobook. VLC is a free, open-source media player that runs on Windows and plays most multimedia files.

For the best audiobook-style experience on Windows, try Audibly first. VLC is a reliable backup, but primarily an audio player.

Android

Smart AudioBook Player
Download the .m4b file, place it in its own folder inside your audiobook folder, then open Smart AudioBook Player and select that folder as your library/root folder. The app is designed specifically for audiobooks and expects manually downloaded books to be placed in separate subfolders.

Listen Audiobook Player
Open the app and import or select the downloaded audiobook file. Listen Audiobook Player is designed for user-provided DRM-free audiobook files.

VLC for Android
VLC can also be used as a general playback option, though a dedicated audiobook app will usually be better for remembering your place and navigating chapters.

Linux

Cozy
Install Cozy, import the .m4b file, and listen from your audiobook library. Cozy is a Linux audiobook player that supports DRM-free .m4b, .mp3, .m4a, .flac, .ogg, and .wav files.

VLC Media Player
Open VLC and choose Media > Open File, then select the .m4b file. VLC works across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
